Do NOT be caught Short of
Bait
The two
most sought after bait for Trout Season are Wax Worms and
Butterworms. And each year orders out strip
supply. Please help us not get caught short on bait
supply. We try to guesstimate, but it doesn't usually
work. Last season, we lost our supplier of Butterworms in
Jan. When we went to order...no reply from the supplier.
With Butterworms, they are Import from Chile, and you need a
USDA Import Permit to get the worms. The supplier has to have
USDA Labels to put on the shipment to get them into our
country. And it takes 6 - 12 weeks to get the Labels
from USDA and then send them to Chile. Without a supplier to
send the labels to...no Butterworms. When we did find a new
supplier and get the Permits and Labels to him....it was late
in the season. He hurried to get worms to us...and there were
problems. We had to refund a lot of money on the orders.
That left fishermen without bait, when they wanted to be
fishing.
The supplier we found has been
doing a good job since last June....and is ready to ship
worms. Same with our Wax Worm supplier. Both need
to know how many worms are needed. Butterworms keep
really well, so orders can go out before the season is on top
of the fishermen....not so with Wax Worms. They have a rather
short shelf life. And they take 6 weeks to grow. So you, the
fishermen, can not order and take delivery to far ahead of the
start of fishing. But we would like as much warning as
possible of the needs of you fishermen. This also holds true
for Wholesalers and Bait Dealers.
On the ordering form is an area
for comments below the form....USE IT. Order you bait
early and tell us when you want it delivered. Paid
Orders are ALWAYS FILLED first, when things are
tight.
Thank you for your
time.....Bill Please send
